An important quality in a leader is integrity. Leaders need to stand by what they do, they need to know how to defend their beliefs and always be incorruptible. On the other hand, having a vision is also important. Visionary leaders are the most efficient leaders in history because they had the ability to predict social changes. Leaders with a vision can develop an accurate plan and can avoid conflicts and negative impacts by simply thinking ahead and imagining correctly what the future holds.
A leader also needs to be trusted by people. Never veering from important inner values is a good strategy in order to gain the trust of people around. People need to trust a leader and always know that they can find a solid partner in him.
Dedication is another important and essential quality in a leader. The best way to inspire dedication is by doing things. The personal example is the best leadership technique in order to gain other people’s trust. Humility and openness are two very sensitive qualities that can help build mutual respect and trust between a leader and his employees. Humility is about placing oneself on the same level with the common man. Understanding his struggles, needs and worries is a good quality in a leader that wants to know the people around him. Creativity is about finding fast solutions and new project ideas, while fairness is another important quality in a leader because it refers to always being honest and treating people equally.
